Lotawana Sailing
Lake Lotawana is home to competitive fleets of C scows, MC's and butterflies. Weekends find the water busy with C and MC boats while the social butterflies take to the lake on Wednesday mornings.
A big part of Lotawana Sailing is also introducing new sailors to the thrill and challenge of sailing. Approach any MC sailor with a free beer and they will happily help get you started. Approach a C sailor cautiously, if at all, with rum.
A primary instructor for new sailors, especially ladies and children, is Kristen Falkenberg (aka "Chicken") , an accomplished multi-fleet sailor who is passionate about getting everyone out on the water. You can find her on Facebook/Lotawana Sailing or Kristen's website, lotawanasailing.weebly.com
